On Saturday, December 2, at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery, our dedicated staff at Chagrin Falls Schools and their families came together in a heartfelt act of service and tribute. Led by Gurney Elementary's own teacher Courtney Mooney and in partnership with Wreaths of America, we honored the legacy of our local heroes.
In a beautiful embodiment of our November theme 'Together We Honor', our team meticulously located veterans' graves using a map crafted by Chagrin Hardware. Each grave was marked with a flag where a wreath will be placed, paying respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This service project is not just a gesture, but a reflection of our community's spirit and gratitude.

While today was about service, we also invite you to join us in a formal ceremony on December 16 to continue honoring our veterans. This ceremony, open to all, will include the placement of wreaths on the graves we marked today. Let's come together once more to shine a light on their bravery and our unity.
